Connect an AI assistant (MCP)
Suitiee speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard AI assistants use to reach the tools people work in. Connect one, and you can ask it things like:
- "How did Olaya 12 do last month compared with August?"
- "Which of my flats had the lowest occupancy this quarter, and why?"
- "Is anything free from 3 to 7 November for four guests?"
- "What's happening today — who arrives, who leaves, which flats still need cleaning?"
- "Draft this month's note to the owner of the Malqa units."
The assistant answers from your real Suitiee data — the same numbers as your Analytics and Reports pages — and says where a figure is incomplete (bookings from calendar links carry no price, for example) rather than guessing.
Assistants can read; they cannot change anything. Editing a unit, adding a booking or ordering a clean still happens in the Suitiee panel.
What you need
- An AI assistant that supports MCP over HTTP: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, or similar.
- For an operator's team member: the AI assistants permission on your role (owners always have it).
Connect
- In Suitiee, open Settings → AI assistants.
- Give the connection a name you will recognise later, such as Claude on my laptop.
- Tick what it may read:
- Performance and reports — occupancy, revenue, ADR, reviews, operating reports and owner statements.
- Units, calendar and bookings — unit details, rates and availability, reservations, cleaning and maintenance visits.
- Guest details — guest names, phone numbers and emails. Off by default: only tick it if the assistant needs to identify guests.
- Choose all units, or only the units you pick.
- Select Create connection and copy the token. It is shown once.
The page then shows the server address — https://suitiee.com/mcp — and a ready-made setup
for the common assistants:
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http suitiee https://suitiee.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"
Codex CLI (~/.codex/config.toml)
[mcp_servers.suitiee]
url = "https://suitiee.com/mcp"
http_headers = { "Authorization" = "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" }
Cursor, Claude Desktop and other MCP clients
{
"mcpServers": {
"suitiee": {
"url": "https://suitiee.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" }
}
}
}
Connecting from claude.ai or ChatGPT in the browser, without pasting a token, is coming.

Who sees what
- An assistant sees only your account's units — or only the units you chose.
- For an operator's team, a connection reads with its creator's own role: someone who cannot open Reports in the panel gets no performance tools in their assistant either. A member needs the AI assistants permission to connect one at all.
- Each person sees and ends only their own connections. Deactivating a team member pauses every assistant they connected.
- Every question an assistant asks is recorded in the audit log.
- A connection lasts 90 days. Connect again to renew it.
When it goes wrong
- "Not connected" or 401 — the token is missing, mistyped, expired (after 90 days) or disconnected. Create a new connection and paste the new token.
- 403, "can no longer sign in" — the account behind the connection was deactivated or suspended. It resumes when the account is active again.
- The assistant says it has no tool for something — the connection was not given that access, or your role does not include it. Reconnect with the right boxes ticked, or ask your account owner.
- A revenue figure looks low — check
bookings_with_price: bookings from calendar links (iCal, including Gathern) carry no price, so they count as nights but not as revenue. - 429, too many requests — the assistant is asking faster than 120 questions a minute. It can retry after a minute.
Disconnect
Settings → AI assistants → Disconnect. The assistant stops working on its next request. If a token may have been exposed, disconnect it and create a new one.
Your data
When you connect an assistant, the answers to its questions are sent to that assistant's provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or whoever runs it) under your agreement with them. Suitiee sends only what the assistant asks for, within the access you ticked. Guest contact details are never sent unless you tick Guest details.
